today's outfit

this was not a good idea, way to windy to wear this tiny little dress and from now on will only be worn at home or with something underneath.

hypnotize

my new dress by metallicus from a shop at new farm...it reminded me of missoni and i fell in love straight away.

a beautiful daze

this photo shoot is beautiful. i fell in love as soon as i saw it. such amazing scenery and the haziness of the photos creates a mysterious and isolated scene.

for us by us

I was recently involved in the For Us By Us project which is a fashion film creation. It was lots of fun and there was so many lovely people to work with. I shot two different scenes; a tea party and an urban landscape scene. These photos were taken last weekend for the urban scene. I love the dress it is such a beautiful colour and felt amazing to wear.

"For Us By Us is a collaborative project between 24 fashion design students and 6 local emerging artists. Inspired by the work of each artist, the designers have created garments that will be exhibited in fashion film. The premiere will take place on the 29th of October, 2010 at the Tribal Theatre in Brisbane." - For Us By Us

magic green

i found out today there are lots of health benefits of limes besides their abundance in vitamin c, they also contain vitamin b6 which assists in the breakdown of protein, has therapeutic effects on melanoma and promotes healthy skin and hair and limes also contain limonoids which can help fight various cancers. limes are good in everything i love them on avocado on toast, squeezed into hot water, in cocktails and in dishes like pad thai.

outfit; shakuhachi mohair shag jacket, general pants cuff and thomas sabo bracelet.
this oil is amazing! has anyone else tried it? my friend sophie convinced me to get some and it's made my hair so smooth and silky. the oil really absorbs into the hair and also smells beautiful, a bit like a summer scent in a bottle. her sister tried the cream in a bottle but thinks the oil is the best. my hair is really fine and damaged on the ends and it makes it appear a lot healthier, so hopefully it will make it stronger over time.

Australian Fashion Graduate of the Year

these are some photos from the AFGOY parade. i thought all the designs were amazing christopher dobosz won (top image and third image). i'd love to get this skirt it felt amazing on and the texture of the fabric was so detailed. the second image was maggie allingham and i really loved the woven overlay. the second last image was robyn taggart her fabrics were amazing and i loved the colour palette of her collection. a lot of the other designers in the parade also had some wonderful pieces you can have a look here.

possessed

i found these pictures of natasha last night while looking for something else and i am so in love. they are amazing i think it's the lighting and especially the first photo with those piercing eyes and bejeweled lips. i also love the rose headband and sky high glittering platforms these pictures are perfect!

mercedes benz fashion festival

these are some photos taken of me by one of the best photographers nelson lai. he is based in sydney but came up to brisbane for fashion festival and to do a shoot with me - i'll show the photos soon. fashion festival was such a fun week! the australian fashion graduate of the year show had so many talented designs the winner was christopher dobosz. i'll put up some photos of his designs soon but they were quite futuristic and powerful. they were structured and strong looks that made you feel amazing when wearing them. i hope everyone had an exciting weekend and will have a fun and productive week. x

disney couture

i LOVE this hat...my best friend's little sister found it at an op shop at wooloongaba in brisbane and it was only around $30. it's so cute and must have been from disney land, it's actually a cap with this soild plastic minnie head on the front. when i went to disney land i didn't see them so i'm not sure if they sell them anymore? i hope everyone is planning a fun weekend!

rainbow connection

i love masks..i really want to get an animal one or mickey mouse! these were so cheap about $2 from crazy clarks or something for a costume party. speaking of costumes if anyone lives on the gold coast or is visiting you should go to swingin safari at broadbeach for afternoon/ evening drinks....it's an old house converted into a bar and restaurant decked out with op shop pieces and odd furniture. they also have costumes to dress up in and really good music.

denim&velvet

i am back in brisbane/ gold coast for the holidays and i love it! you realise how much you miss home when you've been gone for a while....it's been great to be able to wear a few less layers up here and even get away with bare legs some days.

dress; princess poly
jacket; wrangler

i love everything about this second picture the camera and the people, i love those glitter lips, the colour of the shoes and i really want to make some glittery cupcakes!!
this is my shakuhachi jacket/sweater...it's sooo warm i love it..i also love my new leopard print dress from sophie's mum and sister.

miss unkon fashion week

this is a bit of a late post but these are from the miss unkon RAFW show. it was so much fun and such an early morning! we were up at 2am to start the body paint which was the bow on my chest and the painted stockings. the entire runway was amazing and the shoes are to die for. my favourites from the collection have to be the pink frilly dress, the long at the back short at the front cut out dress and the cut out jacket.....the underwear is also really sweet.

ps. the shoes come in various colours the gold and pink featured above as well as purple glitter, pink rhinestones and crystal rhinestones. they can be purchased from jesselle pr

silver and stone

i love these two rings i bought in india back in 2006. i would do anything to go back and buy some more, they are so affordable but so amazing. they have millions to choose from everywhere you go - if only i didn't buy hundreds of colourful bangles which were so flimsy they are now broken into little pieces.
